Ben turned 2 months old and is a big boy! He weighs 12.4 ounces and is 23 3/4 inches long! He is in the 75th percentile for weight and there is not a day that goes by without me hearing, "Boy, he is BIG for 2 months!" He is quite the active guy now, too. Of course the video is sideways because I'm an amateur, but you get the picture. ;-)
And, for the best development...Ben is now SMILING! It just melts my heart. So, even when he is waking me up in the middle of the night for a bottle AND then for good at 6:30am, I can't help but smile along with him.
Our Chicago trip was fantastic! Benjamin was an angel on the plane ride out there. The ride home was another story, but that's okay. We got to catch up with old friends and got a lot of quality time with Brad's cousins and uncle.
Ben and I also went to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. It was really a great place, but I guess not the most exciting for babies.
I go back to work on August 13th. I am really dreading it. Ben will be going to a great daycare that is right on our block and I know he will be well taken care of, but I just wish we were in the position for me to stay home with him. Some day...hopefully sooner rather than later!

Hi Heather , my name is Pennie I used to work with Brad at Chase in Woodcliff Lake. He sent me the link to view your blog as being a mom. I love it...my daughter is now 10 and I can honestly say, I don't miss the baby days, I loved them when I had them but I find each stage I really appreciate. Benjamin is too cute, and yes he I big for 2 months..... that is just a sign that you and Brad are great parents. I was telling Brad how you fall in love with this beautiful baby, it is a indescribable love, I see it all over you blog, how all the pictures you have taken, I was and still am that way with my daughter, I am always taking pictures with her. I am so happy for you , Brad becoming a manager at Chase and a father.. it couldn't have happened to a better man, and I also see he has a great woman behind him...even better for him
Take care. tell Brad hello
