Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day, we went to the Bronx Zoo with Grammy Carol and Uncle Jim. While we were there, we got to see Grandpa Jim, too, which was a nice treat. It was a great time, despite a few tantrums by our two year old. And Brad only had to change one diaper all day! HAHA

So, Happy Father's Day to you, Brad. You are doing an amazing job and we love you!
"Remember You're His Daddy"
Remember you're his daddy
when he's crying late at night,
when he needs a little loving
to know that it's alright.
Remember you're his daddy
when you're playing with his toys,
when you take the time to teach him
how you both can be good boys.
Remember you're his daddy
when he's had a real rough day,
when school's been very tough on him
and nothing's gone his way.
Remember you're his daddy
when he goes on his first date,
when you tell him to be in by ten
and he's not home 'till late.
Remember you're his daddy
when he makes you very proud,
when in a very awkward way
he stands out in a crowd.
Remember you're his daddy
as he grows before your eyes,
stop to talk and listen
before it's time for your goodbyes.
Remember you're his daddy
remember I'm your wife,
we know that you'll love us
for the rest of your life.

Two!

We had Ben's birthday party on May 30th at our house. The theme was "Yo Gabba Gabba," one of Ben's favorite shows on Nick Jr. Here's a little glimpse of the decorations:
The invitation that Uncle Jason designed for us!

Check out the Brobee (one of the characters) cake my Aunt Debbie made!

Tons of presents! Everyone was incredibly generous. Ben is one very lucky boy!

Trying out his rollerskates that Aunt Sarah and Uncle Tootie just HAD to get him!

Easter.

Ben had a great time at Easter. He dashed around picking up the eggs and screeching, "Yaaaaaay!" It was really cute. He also got to see some chickens at my Gran's house, which he just loved!

He was not scared of the Easter Bunny at all--not even this really creepy one!

We headed to the playground after seeing the bunny.

Snow.

Mama and Daddy enjoyed a nice, relaxing weekend while Ben spent some time at Nana and Bob-Bob's during our last snowstorm. He had a blast playing in the snow and roaming around the huge yard!

We're expected to get boatloads of snow tonight, too, so I'll finally get to have some fun with Boo Bear this winter!

He walked around with this hat on for DAYS.

Catch up!

Well, it's been awhile since I've updated, as usual. Ben has changed from my sweet, tiny baby to an intelligent, dynamic, silly little boy in what seems like overnight. Here's a little recap from the last few months:

Halloween:

He's going to KILL me for this costume...

"Why, oh why, Mom?!?"

Ben's Funny Face for when that segment comes on Yo Gabba Gabba

Christmas:

Ben: "Who the heck is THIS STRANGE GUY?!?"
Chelsea: "If Ben's crying, then I'd BETTER be screaming!!!"

Family shot

Yes, I know he still looks exactly like Brad.

Ben really is at such a great age. He runs and plays, gives hugs and kisses, and seems to soak up every little bit of knowledge out there. He is "talking" up a storm, mostly in "Ben-isms." His newest thing that is just so darn adorable-- thanks to Kylie, Krista, and Dee he is OBSESSED with Ring Around The Rosie. As you sing it, he spins in a circle until you get to "...ashes, ashes we all fall DOWN!" Well, Ben stops and sways and goes, "ASSES, ASSES.....DOOOOOOOOOWN!" Ahhh, too cute.

Anyway...hopefully I'll get some more pictures and update before he is 18! Happy New Year!
